In comparison to the vast, imposing figure painted by the University, Imre can hardly be considered a city at all. In fact, were it not for the University, it is likely that Imre would not exist at all. However, instead of wasting away into nothingness, Imre has prospered in many ways. From its taverns, inns, boarding houses and merchants, Imre offers many of the conveniences one might only expect to find in Tarbean.

Bustling ports keep the city stocked well with the more mundane of trappings, while the University offers items of a more arcane nature. With its many taverns, Imre is also popular with traveling musicians and other performers. Most notably, the Eolian is where bards, both local and foreign, go to show off their skill and, perhaps gain their sought after Talent Pipes.
